converting enchanting is probably the biggest gripe I have with the Magic system as it is. I was thinking of limiting availble enchanting effects to those that the spellcaster would reasonably know (a mage who knows exclusively summoning spells would be at a loss on how to make a flaming sword). I did a search on the board and thought the Enchantment as Invention ideas worked pretty well, though possibly too expensive. Namely, how much an enchanting ability would cost, and how it would work. As we're using powers-based magic, a way to make enchanting work without spells. I need to work out how much power a normal human soul would have (as I would use this as the baseline) and a way to trap it in a power stone/soul gem (I was thinking of using some kind of Binding).Ģ. Wanting to try and remain true to the source, I've run into a few problems with enchanting:ġ.
As mentioned in the 'Erratic' Abilities thread, I'm working on an Elder Scrolls campaign with my friends.
